Filter sand 0.4–0.8 mm is made from a special, crystal-clear quartz material known for its exceptional quality and resistance to crushing. Its main advantage is that it retains sharpness even after years of use, eliminating the need for annual replacement.
For smaller sand filters (up to 50 kg), only this grain size is used: 0.4–0.8 mm. In larger filters, the process starts with a coarse layer of 1–2 mm sand, followed by a finer layer of 0.4–0.8 mm, ensuring optimal filtration and water flow.
Before filling, always follow the manufacturer’s instructions received with the filter.
