Planet Pool Algicide Special is a non-foaming algaecide designed to prevent the growth of algae and bacteria in pool water. Its special formula makes it particularly suitable for pools with massage jets, counter-current systems and spa pools, where conventional algaecides may cause unwanted foaming.
Regular use helps prevent algae growth, keeps pool water clean and reduces the development of microorganisms. For best results, use together with pH balancing products and pool disinfectants.
For optimum pool water care, maintain the pH between 6.5 and 7.8 and the free chlorine level between 1 and 3 mg/l.
Application
Preventive treatment
After thoroughly cleaning the pool, spray the walls, corners and joints with a 20% Algicide Special solution.
Initial dosage: 150–200 ml per 10 m³ of pool water.
Then add 100–150 ml per 10 m³ once a week.
If algae are present
Add 300–400 ml per 10 m³ of water.
Dilute the product in a bucket of water before pouring it slowly around the edge of the pool.
If algae have already developed, perform a shock treatment using Planet Pool Chlorine Granules.
Heavy pool use, high temperatures or heavy rainfall may require higher dosages.
Suitable for pools with massage systems, counter-current systems and spa pools. Not suitable for ponds.
Safety instructions
Do not mix directly with other chemicals. If multiple pool care products are used, prepare and add each product separately according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
